Ah Neal Cotts....treasure 2005, it was a fluke.

Aaron Rowand wasn't a MAJOR contributor.

 

He wasn't the best thing since sliced bread, but he was the starting centerfielder for the World Champion White Sox. He wasn't the best player around, but he did stabilize the outfield which made it a much better defensive outfield than it has been in 2006.

 

And despite his shortcomings, he did bust his ass and left it all on the field every night.

 

At least give the guy his due for all that. He should always be remembered as a key part of the 2005 Sox.

Anyone else notice he no longer uses a 'hitch' in his delivery? Note him now, opposed to previous seasons. How can he knowingly abandon the part of his follow-through responsible for deceiving hitters?

This inning is a perfect example of why it doesn't matter who Oz brings in.

I'll remember him for his great commentary during the Pods walkoff, as well as how excited he was when we won it all.

At least watching this game gives me some closure.

where's this thread? FWIW, I was one of the main proponents on this site for upgrading our offense, even though everyone kept saying it was the pitching that needed upgrading.
