Bears a nice group of thugs and punks, like most NFL teams.

Uh?

And the Cubs factor is about 1000th on my list of reasons why the WS was incredible.

The city was definitly more a buzz for the White Sox's World Series.

the WhiteSox winning the world series feels much more rewarding to me

Football games are maybe more exciting, but theres some intangibles about baseball that makes me love it so much more, so its a no brainer that the world series was better for me

The Sox winning the World Series in 2005 by far. We all waited a lifetime for the magical October evening in 2005. Nothing could compare to the 2005 Sox with me.

I dont know about that. More then half the city didnt want the Sox to win where as the whole city is going nuts for this.

Simple, Sox all the way. We're having people over for the Super Bowl, but it's just an excuse to have people over. I don't give a crap about the Bears, other than with any luck a Bears victory will help quiet people about the '85 Bears and I won't have to hear those idiots McMichael and Ditka so much.

The White Sox winning the World Series took all of the unachievable dreams for which I watch sports away. I no longer have the burning desire for my team to win. There is nothing more I really feel I need to see and hope for. Sports are now a recreational passing of time and much less stressful. The losses hurt less and the wins although great are not as satisfying. I am a big fan but no longer a HUGE one of sports in general.

I like it this way.

Still Go Bears.

The Bears haven't won the big prize yet, so I think it's a little early for this, although yes, it is a great feeling, but in either case, Sox have it.

The 2005 Sox were on a completely different historical plane than this Bears team. It will always be that much more significant to me, even if the Bears do win.

bears havent won it yet, (and i mean yet as in they will in 3 days) and the white sox did and destroyed everyone. This shouldnt be a question

Nothing from this point on will ever compare to the 2005 Sox. Not the Bulls, Bears, Hawks... nada.

Two greatest sports moments in history:

-USA Hockey win in 1980 Olympics

-2005 Sox

Somewhere behind you can put the Bulls and Bears.

Not a big football fan are ya.. :lolhitting

I couldn't care less about football, and the Sox ended an 88-year title drought.

Hmmmmmm.................this is a toughie..........

Well, the choice is obvious for me, as I am a diehard Cheesehead. But I'll still give my input just to say it.

The 2005 White Sox World Series tops everything else in my history of sports. The 1996 Packers Super Bowl is second, and its not that close. I don't get teary-eyed and goose-bumped when I think of the 1996 team. For the '05 Sox, I do. It's incredible, even to this day I still get that reaction.

Same here, I'm also a Packer's fan, but even the 96 Packers championship doesn't come close to the 2005 WS Championship. I don't think that anything in my life will ever top the feeling of the whole playoff run, and I'm only 29, it was an amazing time.

Sox not even close and I love the Bears :gosoxretro:

I just made it 150-6!

It's funny, if the Bears win, I'll be happy, just as I was in '85. But I was ecstatic when the Sox won. I'll probably never feel that way about any other win.

Considering I'm a Colts fan, I'll take the 05 Sox in a landslide.

No question, for me it will always be the 2005 White Sox World Championship. I like the Bears, but I'm much more into baseball than football, plus I enjoyed the Super Bowl XX victory immensely so seeing them in a second Super Bowl (albeit 21 years later) has nowhere the impact of a championship that was 88 years in the making (and one that until that point I never thought I'd live to see!).

The Sox, but if Iowa State were to win a national championship in football or men's basketball, that would surpass the Sox moment. I wasn't brought up as a Sox fan...I figured that out on my own. But the amount of heartbreak and just plan suckitude I've had to go through in just 19 years as a Cyclone fan tips it that way.

2005 white sox...we owned the city for a year...game 4 of the world series was the greatest day of my life

Doubt any sport event could ever top the '05 season for me... Love football and my skin's blue and orange but my heart will always be white and black.

Definitely the Sox... only time I've cried over a sporting event.

But really, isn't this forum a bit bias?
