Ya, I saw a documentary on that dude before. Interesting stuff and I used to watch that show(and the reincarnated version "whammy") all the time on GSN.

You can download an amateur-made version of "Press Your Luck" to play on your computer. It's pretty fun.

If you like PC games, I recommend "Plants vs. Zombies" from Popcap. It's fun and addictive.

I had never heard of that before. Cool.

Anyone play Tiger Woods 10? (non Wii)

I've always enjoyed these games, and I figure I'll have a giftcard to burn and wanted to know if they have online tournaments and s***.

In the updated version, when you win a tourney, you get a free pass to a local brothel.

So I've got a PS3 and barely play games on it. It seems like I buy a game, play it for a couple weeks and then abandon it. Buy another one, same thing. It's like I've lost interest in playing games yet still like them... it's weird and hard to explain. This ever happen to anyone?

You could trade your games for other games at swaptree.com.

Yep, I'm constantly trading in games.

The key is to only buy games with a lot of replayability.

I have three games. Madden 10, NHL 10, and MW2 (yes, I caved).

Madden 10 has the online franchise, which is phenomenal, and NHL 10 is the most fun game I've ever played. Modern Warfare 2 has such a great storyline it's fun to play more than once, but even if you tire jumping in and playing a quick game of capture the flag is always fun, too. The next game slated for purchase is MLB 10: The Show. I'd probably just keep enjoying fan updated rosters on MLB 09, but made the decision to sell it before baseball season ended a - to get the biggest return, and b - because I knew I'd want Gordon Beckham's face in the game for real.

There are GREAT games to rent for a week and beat, or to purchase with the sole intent of eventually trading them in... these games also happen to retain their value if sold on eBay vs. trading them for pennies on the dollar at GameStop.

Those games include Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, CoD 4: Modern Warfare, etc etc. In the history of gaming, there has never been a game to completely hold someone's interest forever, it just won't happen. If you pick and choose, however, you can do fine.

Nice, I picked up Modern Warfare 2 on Saturday, and Best Buy dropped it to $39.99 today (that was quick). So I got $20 back and put it toward Uncharted so I'll get to check that out now. (The first one, I'll get the 2nd after that).

The God of War Collection is a winner. I didn't play the first two games when they were originally released on the PS2 (I have no idea why) so this is a new experience for me and one that I'm thoroughly enjoying. The game looks great in remastered 720p, it almost feels like a PS3 original.

When you say beat the games in a week, approximately how many hours of gameplay would that come out to? I haven't been stuck to a single game everyday of the week in a loong time, but that's also because I don't have to time to do that.

I have to check those out one day. I've heard so much about GoW. I was also wondering how good it was since it's just an old game ported over to PS3.

I am really similar, only worse. I might get 2-3 games a year and play them for a few weeks and then not play again for months and months. A few games I played a lot were Uncharted, Oblivion, and Dead Space. Then I stopped playing almost entirely. I bought NHL 09' and played it for like an hour. I bought Resistance of Man on sale for like $30 and it's been sitting here, unopened, since before Christmas last year.

I like games, but I need to be in a certain mood to play them, and once I get out of that mood, it is very difficult for me to get back in it. Maybe I am just growing out of it?

I do watch a crapload of blu ray on the PS3 though, so at least I don't feel too badly about it going to waste.

I've had the same problem for years.

Buy every game and lose interest after a few hours.

I cut back to only my annual sports titles.

Then after I picked up a PS3 around thanksgiving(plan on finally getting The Show), I went and picked up Uncharted 1 and 2.

I solved both in about a week and a half.

U2 is really fun, part 1 got a bit repetitive with the shooting, but 2 was unbelievable.... like an action movie.

I also got Metal Gear and Infamous out of the bargain bin.

Certain games just pique my interest and I stay with them for a long long time. I can still play Romance of the 3 Kingdoms for NES and never grow bored

oh yeah, both uncharted 1 and 2 took me about 10-12 hours to beat on normal.

I thought that myself that I'm growing out of it, but then I hear and see some of these games and I'm like I have to play that! I get it and a couple weeks later... I just lose interest.

I know one thing for sure though, learning all the controls and after putting it down for a while I forget and I don't feel like learning all over again.

I have to try some of these games suggested though. I'm glad I use my PS3 for movies and netflix as well.

Yeah I still spend 2 or 3 hours a week playing Mario Kart 64 haha, but yeah other then that I can't think of many other games that last forever.
