As I was taking a piss in a urinal today I started to wonder, how do others go about this? My question is, where do you prefer to aim? Straight at the wall of urinal and let it trickle down, or aim directly into the small amount of water at the bottom. Obviously there are things to take into consideration (i.e. splashback, acoustics, natural aiming direction). Your thoughts?

Interesting topic. I'm curious to see the responses... As for myself, I aim just above the water so I don't get my piss deflected back at me.

I stand at an angle exactly the same as the side of the urinal. So the piss hits the wall of the urinal at almost a 0 degree angle and any deflections will bounce away from me.

I think it also depends on the strength of the stream. I'd be more inclined to go straight on if I don't feel like I could make it from across the room.

I aim just above the water, so there is little to no splash-back, that is, if the urinal is high enough on the wall. Most of the time, I'll have to use a stall and piss in a toilet because I don't want to squat down or stand 5 feet back to piss.

If it's a private bathroom in a place I do not care for while I'm slightly intoxicated, I stand in front of the urinal, take 2 steps to either the left or the right, and do a little dance while letting it flow.

 

I'm not much of an aimer.

As Wite said, when I'm a bit on the drunk side, I just let it rip.

 

As for normal situations, probably I am above the water towards the back center of the toilet, for maximum quietness.

I wonder if the women here have an aiming technique..

I would like to mention the Sloan Royal Flush II is perhaps the most viewed bit of plumbing anywhere. It has no equal. I wait with anticpation for the Royal Flush III

My goal is to minimize the sound and the splash. So that requires letting it trickle.

 

The real concern is making sure I don't have a few extra drops left when I zip up. There's nothing worse than the feeling of urine dripping down my leg. Maybe I should stop wearing boxers...

I like to step up to one urinal, but piss in the one next to me.

I usually aim towards the spout at the top of the inside of the urinal that has a bubble on the tip because of the soap.Great satisfaction comes from bursting the bubble with my stellar aim.

I stand back about 4 feet so I don't dangle into the urinal. I need all the room I can get.

I forgot to add that I can only take a pee with no one else in the bathroom or it has to be a really loud bathroom.I dont know what it is but there is a medical term for it.I cant even squeeze out a drop its ridiculous.

lol this is a great thread. I've always wondered about this too. I aim just above for the most part. I've seen people use the sink when they're drunk, which needless to say might've been the only time I didn't wash my hands after pissing.
