Terrible by Piniella. Why take out your best overall player in Lee just to get Blanco to bat instead of the pitcher? Also, I can't believe they threw a fastball to Bay with 2 strikes. Wuertz has a great slider, and Bay's been known to chase that particular pitch. Oh well....nice end to an annoying baseball day.

luis rivas owns the cubs x 2

soriano LOL just dropped the ball on the final out of the game...lost it in the sun, hit his glove....sanchez scores all the way from first....shoulda been game over...now heading to extras probably

Cue the world hating Soriano once more

For all the love the Cubs get, they are AWFUL on the road. Classic team built for their home park, because their offense takes naps on the road for large portions of the game. Soriano is quite the fielder btw.

Shades of Brant Brown. I would love to hear Ron Santo's reaction to Soriano's drop.

LMAO. They're having a full-blown meltdown over at Northsidebaseball.com. For as bad as it can get over here, I don't recall anybody ever wishing death on a player. lol.

"The world ends when Marmol blows a save.

Strike 3! Good thing he'll get the save."

My sister's friend is at the Cubs game and texted her and said they sell shirts outside Wrigley that read, "Edmonds Still Sucks".

lol its funny because its true

This Dodgers team is pretty crappy without Loney and Furcal in the lineup. Also, the Cubs face a bad Rockies team this coming weekend with Holliday, Hawpe, and Barmes. Plenty of time for Pods to shine!

Torre not adapting to NL managing? Why wasn't Billingsley bunting?

at least the dodgers are respectable....which is sad to think, they are the best team the cubs have played in a long time...but you are right they are much better with furcal and loney

You didn't like Billingsley chase a pitch 3 feet off the plate? Dodgers have had a few chances to dent the scoreboard, and only have one on a cheap hit by Pierre.

Come on Dodgers... and Billingsley ...

Mark Sweeney sucks.

Kemp needs some discipline. Those two swings were brutal.

Good of him to hold up on those last two.

Dewitt gets meatball after meatball to square up, and then chases a horrible pitch. Dempster reminds me of Kevin Millwood from 2005.

Wow, that 2-0 to Maza wasn't even close! Terrible umpiring, and Dodgers deserve to lose this game.

What the hell did I just watch?

The National League...it's craptastic! It's mind-boggling how terrible teams play against the Cubs at Wrigley.
