The only thing that makes sense is there will be another deal either involving Dye, Swisher, Konerko or Thome. If there is not, I really don't understand this at all.

yeah i heard on the score that theres a possibility that if the packers are backed into a corner, they might end up having to deal him to a divisional rival...IMO thats just posturing to try to get some AFC team to pay up for him

damn right it does, affeldt has 55 K's in 53.1 IP but his whip is approaching 1.5..... with a 4.05 ERA, hmm.

I personally think Griffey is a bench insurance guy and the guy the Sox are looking to get is Bronson Arroyo for the pen and swing starter. I think he has a contract that is overprcied.
