Linebrink being seriously injured has been obvious for about 6 weeks now. The Sox treated it like the Soviets treated whether Andropov or Chernenko were dead -- nah, nothing wrong here, but we just won't talk about it, and you won't see the guy for weeks, and everything's fine.
