Suppan really worked over Anderson that AB. Striking him out on a slider over the outside corner was pure Brian. It even appeared to be hanging, although all of Suppan's breaking balls appear to be that way so its hard to tell.

take pitches gordon

Classic Brian Anderson at-bat right there. 87mph fastballs for 0-1 and 0-2, then junk away. No brain inside his head.

Can someone buy ARam a smaller glove? He's gonna get Getz killed.

Podsednik goes on a dropped ball, is safe, then pops off the bag and is called out.

BS call. His foot slipped off when the tag wasn't on.

Fields snags a foul over the rail in the Brewer dugout. He has looked good at first from what I've seen.

What has happened to Alexei's instincts?

There you go, AJ and Getz. Then again, I would have liked to see Beckham hit with someone on base. Oh well. 2-0 Sox.

And what the f*** is Pods doing today? 2-2, but my lord, have some sense on the bases.

Getz is starting to put s*** together.

Clayton is looking good. Come on offense - keep it going!

Clayton is the offense!

Pitches to Fields by Suppan:

Fastball 86mph - Called Strike

Fastball 86mph - Foul

Fastball 85mph - Ball

Fastball 88mph - Called Strike

umpiring this year is straight up awful.

Wasting pitches on the opposing pitcher.

What did Ramirez do now that was a "mental" mistake?

As much as Alexei gets picked on, it seems Pods and Anderson make just as many, if not more, mental mistakes. We're certainly not the brightest of teams in terms of "baseball IQ."

And then we have Fields, who is one of the more "sensitive" players in recent White Sox history.

This team needs a psychologist more than Greg Walker. And then there's Clayton, who you still worry whenever a ball is hit anywhere near him...will he field it cleanly or throw it down the RF line.

But you have to say this for Richard, he's been about as good/surprising SO FAR in 2009 (compared to the low expectations of many) as Danks was last year.

Nice. Out of the 5th unscathed with 96 pitches.

Lovin' hearing Bob Uecker do the game. Hawk is on mute.

Don't think Ozzie will dare to go much longer with Clayton pitching on 3 days' rest, and the fact he was around 100 pitches last time out.

Interesting to see who he might go to in the 6th...Poreda? Carrasco probably would be the call. Seems a bit early for Dotel or Thornton.

He probably won't pitch Poreda unless they are up by 4 or more or if it's a lefty batter.

Brian Anderson is

a

bleeping

JOKE

He'll NEVER be any good, ever.

Brian Anderson now hitting under .140 over the last week or so...not exactly making a strong case for keeping CF when/if Quentin returns.

Getz robbed there, Pods robbed to end the last inning, really feels like we should be up 3-0 or 4-0 right now.

Hopefully Beckham can get on track, because we don't have many hitters we can count on right now.

BA still falling for the same outside changeups.

Just like Fields can't catch up to an 86mph fastball.
