Sounds like either his wife shot him and then killed herself, or maybe both were murdered and a suspect is at large. Either way, what a strange and sad story. RIP.

This leaves me speechless. i have goosebumps.

So sad.

RIP

I am seriously hurt by this. McNair was always one of my favorite QB's and seeing anyone die at such a young age just breaks my heart.

He was a hell of a football player and a good dude. RIP.

What the...

Also, why do they keep calling him FORMER QB? Did he retire and I missed it? I thought he was still out there playing somewhere. Shows how little I've followed football the last couple years I guess.

Sad news, very disturbing.

Just a terrible day for this to happen.

RIP Steve.

Considering it's the 4th of July...

It's a good day turned bad for his family and friends.

That's what I meant.

I found out about this maybe 10 minutes before this thread was started, and a thread was also posted on the other board I post on. I guess the news broke for everyone about the same time. Man this is f***ed up though, I always liked McNair even when he started to get old and didn't have it anymore. RIP Steve.

I am at a loss of words. Without a doubt he was my favorite quarterback. I admired his toughness and the way he played the position. He made Tennessee my second favorite team along with Jeff Fisher and Eddie George.

RIP

I can't recall in my lifetime where in a span of 10 days or so,so many famous people passing away,Ed McMahon,Farrah Fawcett,Micheal Jackson,Karl Malden and tragically now McNair...I'm stunned.
