Commonly, he will coordinate a rental package through Men's Wearhouse or something so all the groomsmen are wearing the same thing. You'll have to go in and get fitted a few weeks before the wedding. shipps Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Jason Gage showed up at my wedding wearing the SAME EXACT clothes as my groomsmen. It was a beach wedding in Miami so we had the khaki pants and pistachio shirt. It was hilarious when he walked in the dressing room and gave this look like whats everybody looking at? LOL Oh Gage. We had ushers for our wedding to seat the guests. The groomsmen just had to get fitted for tuxes, stand in the front during the ceremony, take a few pictures and participate in a few dances at the reception. His father was a lawyer, his fiancee's father was a doctor, and they were spending about $25K on the wedding (and this was back in 1993). Tux rental was going to be $120. I was a grad student and told him there was no way I could afford that on top of the cost of traveling to the wedding. He found someone else to be in the wedding who could afford the tux. I don't know what the "norm" is but I had the guys in my wedding party pay for their own. Although the place I went had a rent 5, get the sixth one free deal.
