If "Beer Pong" was a winter event, you'd be more into it.

Beer Pong is definitely a summer event.

Anytime I have the opportunity to watch world class athletes, I take it. Even if it's curling. Or biathlon. I like watching events you really only watch every 4 years. Breaks the monotony of the other sports. Plus, there is pure excitement when they win since this is the pinnacle of their sport...usually.

They had a segment on Real Sports about the US Curling team. I wouldn't exactly call them world class athletes, although they seemed like fun guys. If you really need a curling fix, you should go down to the bars on Division Street on Saturday or Sunday early in the morning. They have guys sweeping all the cigarette butts.

Tonight's Olympic Opening Ceremony will be the first ever Olympic Opening or Closing Ceremony held inside (in a domed stadium)

Georgian luger dies after crash,

http://sports.espn.go.com/olympics/winter/...tory?id=4909034

They way he apparently died is just brutal. 90 mph over the ledge and into a metal pole? Something has to change with the course before the live event.

That's awful.

ESPN reported it as an American. Georgia...are they that stupid?

What a horrible way to start the Olympics, that just sucks.

And that's why I avoid watching those idiot blowhards...

What? Kane's not the flag bearer? That's BS

Any of the NHLers who are in the Olympics are not there yet because the NHL is still going on (I know that was green, just an FYI.)

Ono vs. the Korean dudes in the 1500 Speed Skating Final should be a great final to watch.

Wow.

That was a ridiculous ending.

Crazy, Koreans were definitely colluding to try to keep Ohno out of the front btw. They were bumping him a lot on those passes. Fitting that they screwed themselves out of a sweep at the end.

There was definitely a ton of contact on the turns between everyone. Pretty hilarious that Korea completely f***ed themselves at the end though :P

Great start to the Olympics for the US as the Women take Gold and Bronze in Moguls.

That was team skating at it's finest by the Koreans.... which is banned in speed skating. But of course, you can never prove it.

The good Korea or the bad Korea?

I think the north and south go to the Olympics as just Korea.

North is DPR Korea and south is just Korea

ah ok. I thought they had merged their Olympic groups a while back, or maybe it was just a one time thing.
