SI's Tom Verducci tried to crunch some numbers by looking at the Red Sox/Yankee rivalry in terms of "Which teams' top starters make the most starts". He then looked around the league for comparison, and wham, guess what hit him.

Phil Rogers used that stat he made up about staffs having thirty starts and two hundred inning starters, and the White Sox were at the top of that one too.

Rios = en fuego. And it was a 2 out hit (triple).. we need alot of those this season if we fail with less than 2 out. Reminds me why A.J. should never bat at the cleanup. :P

Clevelan Santeliz should be interesting to watch in AAA with his control. He's got great stuff, but his control is iffy. Should be interesting to see how more patient AAA hitters fare against him. Santo Luis should also be fun to watch for JPN with his K numbers, though who knows how he'll manage jumping a level.

Boy Hynick flew about as far under the radar as can be done. No buzz at all, good or bad.

Inflammation in his pitching shoulder kept him from making a single appearance, hard to create buzz when you're physically incapable of throwing.

Well that explains it. Hopefully it keeps him from getting claimed, and we can slip him into Charlotte.

It is? This dude had no future with this organization. Now losing Mitchell for the year is bad news.

When healthy Hynick is your 8th starter in the White Sox organization. He threw a no-hitter in Colorodo AAA, has decent stuff, and is a really good guy. I'm not in a position to write him off, or root against him.

Just Hynick was dropped from the 40-man roster. Armstrong will be assigned to a team later in spring training--or possibly dumped then. But for now, he remains on the 40-man.

Armstrong was a NRI.
