JFP was JFP last night. Now we need GF to be GFF tonight. We need Sqwert to predict another no-hitter...that seemed to work for Peavy.

Unfortunately I believe Gavin will allow 5 hits today.

Tuesday, May 4 Tickets U.S. Cellular Field | 7:10 PM CT

KC Luke Hochevar, RHP (2-1, 6.11)

Royals (10-16) @ CWS Gavin Floyd, RHP (1-2, 6.49)

White Sox (11-15)

Royals: Not only did Hochevar absorb his first loss last Thursday night at Tampa Bay, his ERA almost doubled. The red-hot Rays savaged him for nine runs on 11 hits and two walks in just 2 2/3 innings. No one seemed to think that Hochevar's stuff was that bad, just that the Rays' hitters were that good. While he'd been neatly avoiding the curse of a big inning, this time, he was nailed with two of them -- for five runs and four runs. The Royals are hoping it's just a one-game blip for Hochevar, who previously showed every indication of fulfilling the promise that made him the nation's top Draft choice in 2006. This will be his sixth start and he did well against the White Sox last year, going 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA in two starts.

White Sox: A rough month of April came to a close for the right-hander with a victory over the Rangers in Arlington, but Floyd has been a notoriously slow starter throughout his career. He turned in his best 2010 start during Thursday's series finale at Texas, giving up just one earned run on five hits over seven innings, striking out five and not issuing a single walk as the White Sox avoided a three-game sweep. Floyd allowed just one hit over the last three innings of that particular start. His season turnaround might be challenged on Tuesday by the Royals, as he has a 1-5 career record and 4.84 ERA against them. But Floyd also has a 16-9 record and 3.65 ERA lifetime at U.S. Cellular Field.

That should be okay...provided there's aonly 1 or 2 runs from those 5 hits.

This will be a tough a game. Hocheaver does have good stuff.

Hopefully he's a mental midget. His last start he was POUNDED in Tampa Bay. Something like 9 runs in 2 innings or something. Hopefully theres a carry over.

He seems to be very hit or miss, some days he has his stuff, some days hes just throwing junk. That being said, he was 2-0 against us last year with a 2.40 ERA, including a 3-hit CG shut out. Hopefully, we can get to him early and knock him out of the game

Go Go Gavin Go!!!

This thread needs more Rally Bieber.

All we have to do is have good at-bats, and work his pitch count up. If we knock him out after 5 or 6, that gives us a couple innings to pound on that bullpen bridge that leads to Soria.

We have seemed to have done a better job at getting deep into counts lately. That is one way we can help ourselves out a lot.

Is Justin Bieber this season's Journey? Will AJ, Teahen and Buehrle be standing at the podium singing a Bieber pop song in late October?

so dreamy... :gosoxretro:

Hopefully a slump buster for Beckham. Also, Alexei seems to be waking up with the bat just a bit lately, this may help him along that path.

Jones with the silver sombrero against him though, and hitting third.

Now this is the lineup I like to see, minus Pierre at DH.

I like the line-up...

Sox score 20 tonight.

Optimal lineup IMO. Thats about as good as we're gonna get right now.
