Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up

Featured Replies

Yeah Marquez has to be coming up for long relief. We don't have a true long reliever as it is (Pena is more doing that by necessity), and Tony is probably unavailable the next few days now. Need another arm down there in the meantime, and i'd guess Marquez will be gone after the game Saturday for Hudson.

Torres is rolling no need to bring him up to sit in the pen. I like this move and think Marquez could get the shot against the Royals if available

Daniel Hudson out of the mlbfutures game, almost certainly meaning he will pitch Sunday for the White Sox. per Scott Merkin

I blame this entire thing on whoever created the Peavy SoxTalk calendar this year instead of jinxing just one player per month. :lolhitting

Really tho, I think we're ok without him. Nobody wants to see a guy like that go down, but better now than in Sept when we're 2 games up and fighting off the Twins and Tigers :headbang

No wonder he said it popped.

15 day stint?

15 day stint?

Not with a muscle detachment.

Season ender?

Do we have a return policy with San Diego? :(

Does detached muscle mean he's out for the year?

detached ....bad news

That sounds like the muscle's out of his body or something.

If he has a detached muscle he will likely be out for the rest of the year :(

If you want a capsule of the emotional DNA of Soxtalk, check out the 50 posts after he walked off the field. 99.99999999 percent to I saw him say my elbow popped.

Come again.

So his muscle fell off. Great.

This doesn't sound good at all.

I guess I shouldn't have made fun of anything Zumaya might have done to cause his freak injury.

Surgery...

Obviously this will require surgery. Highly doubtful he'll pitch again this year.
