Why not Lucy?

Agreed, kind of shocked on Lucy and thought maybe two more pitchers as well.

Hopefully this means Ozzie can use Castro off the bench more for PH reasons.

Excited about Infante.

Is Infante on the 40 man or does someone else need to be designated?

He is not but Threets is currently on the 15 day DL and can be moved to the 60 to make room just as Peavy was moved to the 60 to make room for Manny. (as we are at 40 right now)

cst_sox - Sox will call up Infante, DeAza and Flowers tomorrow now, according to Sox PR. Viciedo in Boston and Torres in Detroit.

Wow, that is a straight up shock right there.

I know the sox love Anthony Carter's arm too. If he wasn't AFL bound, we would see him too.

Sale from the left and Infante from the right throwing smoke? Yes please

Showed good promise last year in Florida when he played.

I'm going to pull a J.ReedFan here and say it... I called that one.

You would think Lucy earned a call-up with his performance earlier in the year for the Sox. And hasn't Flowers been terrible?

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 12:22 PM)
I'd be in favor in bringing up as many bullpen arms as possible.

Do we still have Aquino? How did he do this year?

Santeliz is another pitcher I wouldn't mind bringing up just to eat innings.

Oh, and Nunez, too.

Aquino is suspended.

Too bad there are no direct flights anywhere out of the B'ham airport for old Greg.

Clevelan is the victim...

It's obviously only because he's a Venezuelan.

Somebody will snag him if he's on waivers.

Yeah that is somewhat surprising actually.

He had 5 hits. He happened to have a little hot streak while he was up here, he didn't earn anything, he's still bad. Even for as much as Flowers struggled in AAA this year he still out OPS'd Lucy by about 150 points.

His name was actually on KW's whiteboard in the Club in the ST episode.

Yeah, Lucy may turn out to be the backup C next year, but no one is under the illusion that he is a future starter. Flowers, despite some struggles this year, is still seen as the catcher of the future for the Sox. They want to get a good look at him now - Lucy is a known commodity.

He seemed good at calling a game and on defense. We have plenty of room for a guy like that for the last month, I'd think.

He was on the 40-man roster. Everyone on the 40-man was on the whiteboard.
