He is not but Threets is currently on the 15 day DL and can be moved to the 60 to make room just as Peavy was moved to the 60 to make room for Manny. (as we are at 40 right now)

I'd be in favor in bringing up as many bullpen arms as possible.

He had 5 hits. He happened to have a little hot streak while he was up here, he didn't earn anything, he's still bad. Even for as much as Flowers struggled in AAA this year he still out OPS'd Lucy by about 150 points.

He had 5 hits. He happened to have a little hot streak while he was up here, he didn't earn anything, he's still bad. Even for as much as Flowers struggled in AAA this year he still out OPS'd Lucy by about 150 points.

Yeah, Lucy may turn out to be the backup C next year, but no one is under the illusion that he is a future starter. Flowers, despite some struggles this year, is still seen as the catcher of the future for the Sox. They want to get a good look at him now - Lucy is a known commodity.
