Edwin Jackson Appreciation Thread

Featured Replies

Some of you refused to like him or support him because we gave up Hudson for him(different topic which I hope we don't get into here), but the guy did play his butt off and was sturdy. Non-injury concern and an overall nice fella.

I wish you the best Edwino.

I was at the home opener... best game I've ever been to.

Nice guy and a good players. Good luck wherever you end up Edwin

Seemed like a good guy, pitched well his time here - wish him the best.

I've never loved Edwin Jackson more than that day.

Overall, I'm happy with the time he spent here and I wish him well.

Good luck to Jackson, he always seemed like a good guy in the clubhouse and it seemed he knew how to have a good time.

If Boras wasnt his agent I think he may have resigned here.

I remember someone posting "Ladies and Gentlemen... Edwin f***ing Jackson after being lights out in one of his starts when he first got here. I was excited.

Good luck Edwin... I wish you much success.

On his way to play on as many teams at Matt Stairs. This will be the 6th trade involving him.

Is this where we're at? Appreciation for Edwin Jackson? The guy contributed nothing to this team in essence. The best thing he ever did for us was to help us dump Teahen.

That makes him one of our better contributors this season.

Seems like a nice guy, even though he changes teams constantly.

And that's all I've got.

best pure stuff on our staff, not prone to injury, always took the ball. Wish we could've re-signed him. What a gift we gave Arizona.

Thanks Edwin. Why couldn't you take Rios or Dunn with you?

I wish him well but Milkman is essentially right.

Never should have traded Hudson. Very very dumb.

Thank goodness Teahen is gone forever.

A debacle of epic proportions. Kenny is such a fool...

But man, nothing but respect for Edwin...dude took the ball and gave us great innings. I for one would like the guy back, but with his agent we knew that was most likely not happening. So Williams has to move the guy we got for Hudson for a aging Relief Pitcher and a mediocre prospect.

Edwin didn't trade himself to the Sox for Dan Hudson.

The guy pitched well for us, which is the only thing in his control.

Thanks for the innings, Edwin. You deserved a better fate. Good luck with the Cards!

You ever wonder if a guy hears about a trade and thinks, "D*mn, the team that traded for me really got screwed!"

What a bizarre pitcher. He could no hit the red sox or give up 10 to the mariners and neither would surprise me.

You were inconsistent, annoying, and not particularly fun to watch. Peace.

Thanks for screwing up my fantasy team before I dropped you...now the sox dropped you, seems to be a common theme with your career.

Edwin was really fun to watch when he had good control. The guy has ace stuff, but his control is mediocre at best.

Or he may not have been traded so often.
