chw42
HUGE WIN! I was afraid that if we lost this one, we'd lose a bunch of momentum. No worries!

caulfield12
12-1.... Didn't think Reed would be able to hold that save, but for someone who's a rookie there's just a sense of calm compared to anyone else closing. Didn't think Reed would be able to hold that save, but for someone who's a rookie there's just a sense of calm compared to anyone else closing. With all fastballs. Take that you headhunting p*****s. caulfield12
4 sweeps this season. Get well, Alejandro. Don't want to see Fukudome or Lillibridge out there with the way our same starting line-up has been going day after day after day.

southsider2k5
QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ May 30, 2012 -> 03:20 PM) Can someone please explain what happened to De Aza today? Thanks. He was hit in the knee on a pick off throw attempt from the pitcher at 2B. He limped off of the field under his own power and was replaced by Lillibridge. Some have speculated (including Buster Olney) that there was some intent to it.

I didn't see it but that would seem pretty risky to do on purpose (if you miss, the ball is in CF).

So he is not necessarily hurt but removed as a precautionary measure, at least as far as we know right now? I assume the reason for the potential intent would be retribution for the AJ spiking in game 1?
RockRaines
QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ May 30, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) Thanks. So he is not necessarily hurt but removed as a precautionary measure, at least as far as we know right now? I assume the reason for the potential intent would be retribution for the AJ spiking in game 1? They already hit AJ for that. The Rays were trying intimidation for today's game to give them an edge and it turned out scoring more runs than your opponent was actually how you win.
