So he is not necessarily hurt but removed as a precautionary measure, at least as far as we know right now? I assume the reason for the potential intent would be retribution for the AJ spiking in game 1?

The Rays were trying intimidation for today's game to give them an edge and it turned out scoring more runs than your opponent was actually how you win.
