April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 09:33 AM) Ok. I give up. I'll just accept your assertions that Grady Sizemore is not a viable option, and that he won't be a factor for any team in 2013. Please suggest someone to take Viciedo's place, if he is out for any extended length of time. Casper Wells While you're at it, it might be a good idea to find a left handed hitter, instead of yet another one who hits right handed. DeWayne Wise and Jordan Danks. Also, Connor Gillaspie is still around too. Moreover, it would really be great to find someone who could bat in the middle of the order. It'd be nice to dealt a Royal Flush. Sometimes, you just have to roll with the cards you're dealt.
April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 07:44 AM) They must 've changed it .The headline changed . Wussies !

Moreover, it would really be great to find someone who could bat in the middle of the order. The Sox have that middle of the order left handed hitter you are looking for. The problem is that he has sucked for 75% of the time he has been with the Sox, including now.
April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 07:51 AM) If this is a muscle tear, or a pull, Viciedo would likely go on the D.L., for an extended period. Then maybe my wish for the Sox to sign Grady Sizemore, for the second half, might come true. I know that many on this board think that he is finished, but at 30, I would think that he would still be an offensive force. I'd love to see him bat right in the heart of the order: LF de Aza 2B Keppinger RF Rios CF Sizemore 1B Konerko SS Ramirez DH Dunn C Flowers 3B Gillaspie Great defensive outfield, improved OBP, better balance of right and left handed hitters, and more speed. Lol
April 19, 201312 yr I find it comical that our players suck so hard they keep getting injured on strikeouts.
April 19, 201312 yr Scott Merkin @scottmerkin 32m Dayan Viciedo is undergoing treatment today on his oblique strain. He remains day-to-day.
April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 09:06 PM) Scott Merkin @scottmerkin 32m Dayan Viciedo is undergoing treatment today on his oblique strain. He remains day-to-day. Might be good to have the cancelled game tonight. Dayan could use a day of rest and hopefuly be back tomorrow with therapy
April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 04:49 PM) Julio Borbon is on waivers. I don't know. Cubs got him.
April 19, 201312 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) Cubs got him. Which means the Sox had a chance to claim, and did not do so.
April 20, 201312 yr QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Apr 19, 2013 -> 04:49 PM) Julio Borbon is on waivers. I don't know. He could have been a good pickup for the future, but he's not the answer to replace Viciedo today.
April 20, 201312 yr Author QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 11:11 AM) DL. Blake Tekotte recalled. @whitesox 1m The @WhiteSox placed outfielder Dayan Viciedo on the 15-day DL today (retroactive to April 19) with a strained left oblique.
April 20, 201312 yr Author QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 11:13 AM) f***! Not exactly unexpected. Hopefully it's legitimately minor and he can be swinging a bat again in a week or so.
April 20, 201312 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 10:14 AM) Not exactly unexpected. Hopefully it's legitimately minor and he can be swinging a bat again in a week or so. I don't think there's anything that can prevent Viciedo from swinging the bat.

April 20, 201312 yr No big surprise there. This is an injury you want to totally let heal before you try it out again.
April 20, 201312 yr Comiskey Park Hitmen Comiskey Park Hitmen @CPHSox 3m Blake Tekotte will wear the famous Lillibridge # 18. #WhiteSox
April 20, 201312 yr Absolutely no reason to call up Tekotte, as he's a pointless addition to the roster with Danks already up.
April 21, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Absolutely no reason to call up Tekotte, as he's a pointless addition to the roster with Danks already up. Danks was a pointless addition to the roster in the first place when Tank was still healthy.
April 21, 201312 yr QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Player gets injured. Sign Lillian's pet. Two players injured. I thought Conor Jackson retired?
