2013-14 off season player movement thread

I wouldn't mind having Morrision if you had a place for him at 1B/DH. He is a nice buy low candidate who could be a star. At worst, you lose a guy who will probably be selling insurance in a couple of years to get him.

Padres trade Anthony Bass to the Astros.

I watched a couple of his starts against the Dodgers in the 2012 season. He is nasty. Just can't stay healthy. Sinker/Slider guy I wish the Sox could have gotten their hands on somehow.

Bartolo Colon somehow keeps getting paid.

It pays to juice. ..

Bartolo Colon's career is hilarious.

Blue Jays Agree To Sign Tomo Ohka http://dlvr.it/4VBXRY #mlb

Apparently he is attempting a comeback since last being in the majors in 2009.

And he taught himself a knuckleball. Blue Jays really like their knuckler-ballers. Wonder if Charlie Haeger needs a job?

Heard Cubs had been competitive on Roberto Hernandez, but he really wanted to go to Philly.

Tigers sign Joba Chamberlain.

When did AJ get signed?

When did AJ get signed?

December 4th.

What's impressive is that right after he signed, he donated both kidneys to sick children and saved 10 puppies from a house fire , all while travelling to the Phillipines to bring relief supplies to the typhoon victims. And he did all this while wearing a #40 jersey in honor of the Hawk (because his #12 jersey was at the cleaners).

And it didn't even stop him from being an insufferable prick. What's a brother to do?

I wish that would have worked out for the Sox.

Boone Logan 3 years $16.5 million from Colorado. He pitches about 40 innings a year. That is $137,500 per inning for Boone Logan. Good work if you can get it.

That's a ton of money for a LOOGY who isn't even that good.

Kubel signs minor league contract with Twins. Mark my words...I don't care how bad he's been the last year and a half or even last year...he's good for at least two walk-off HRs against the Sox.

I thought he was decent? Last two seasons, lefties had OPS of .665 & .650 against. I'm not justifying the contract, but I remember thinking he wasn't that bad.

He's not bad, he's just not that good.

Omar Infante to KC, 4 years, $30 million. I am sure the advanced stats will say it makes sense, but that seems like a lot of cash for Omar freaking Infante.

#Rays apparently got their man Loney back, per reports from @Buster_ESPN and @Ken_Rosenthal, at $21 million for 3 years
