I like both of them but I knew it would be terrible when all of the previews were just them yelling things out loud.

Going to see BOYHOOD later today.

Am obviously aware that it's an almost 3 hour movie, but it's supposed to be amazing.

It's good, the time flies, but I've posted my problems with it. Worth seeing.

Big fan of Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller's Sin City, really looking foward to catch A Dame To Kill For.

How else would you yell things?

LIKE THIS

eh, you know what I mean.

Boyhood is definitely one of the five best films of the year.

Not sure when I would want to see it again (maybe never), but thoroughly enjoyable for a 2 hour 46 minute movie.

Watching Downloaded on Netflix. About Napster. Brings back college memories.

Heh, yes I feel the same. I was also glad I went to see it in theatre to remove myself from distractions.

SNOWPIERCER. Awesome. See it.

You're late to the party on that one.

COHERENCE is a very worthwhile watch, kind of blows your mind for awhile.

Plus one of the lead actors looks exactly like Greg Maddux.

Watching THE WIND RISES, by the most famous Japanese animation director....about the inventor of the Mitsubishi ZERO warplane before World War II. Very politicized movie with critics saying he romanticizes warfare way too much, but the movie simply presents him as an engineer who loved designing planes.

Bad.

Just the art direction/cinematography doing all those different train car sets, I think there were between 20-30...the imagination behind them, makes the movie worth seeing.

In the end, it's just another version of the 99% vs. the 1% story, but visually it's such a different idea than most sci fi/futuristic movies these days.

It was interesting but not particularly good, the storytelling was a stretch at best with one car from the next (as an example) being a sushi bar, a rave, poor people, which was it's telling of segregation...I get it, but I felt it was hallow, and like you said another retelling of a story that's been told far better before.

Too artsy for me.

Sin City...

Well, two words, Eva Green. It seems like she has stolen or just taken over every movie she has been in recently: 300 (Rise of an Empire), Dark Shadows, she's amazing. Of course, her perfect body on display gratuitously without much or any clothing doesn't hurt her cause too much.

Other than that, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, not sure if it's worth watching in the theatre. If you do go, probably a better choice not to go with 3D as I don't feel it was worth the surcharge.

Jessica Alba just cannot convince me that she's an alcoholic, bent on revenge stripper...just doesn't feel natural, and never has (even Natalie Portman in Closer was better at it).

Powers Boothe was also excellent.

Finally, it's a little jarring to see Dennis Haysbert in any non-insurance salesman related role, lol.

Overall, been there and done that feeling...this sequel is about 4-5 years too late.

I didn't care for the first Sin City so will skip 2.

Saw Amazing Spider Man 2 last night. Hard to believe that was from the same director, not pleased with that effort.

Thought I was the only one, that movie bored me.

First Sin City is one of the worst movies ever made as far as I'm concerned. It was pure trash.

Judging by reviews, this one looks the same. Only good thing about it is Eva Green nude which she's done in other/better movies.

She's pretty great in Penny Dreadful. Naked once or twice IIRC.

Geez, don't google her at work.

The Dreamers is the one that put her on the map.

NC-17 right off the bat in her career almost. Worked out a lot better than it did for Elizabeth Berkley.

But most really noticed her for the first time in Casino Royale with Daniel Craig, the spark and chemistry they seemed to have together.
