Game Thread 4/9: SOX @ ROX

Thing is, the inning set up perfectly in the 6th for a double switch with De Aza going into LF batting 9th and Johnson being pulled.

Huh?

That was the 3rd out. I'm not sure if you still have to take it out of your glove

What a disaster...if he's out for an extended period, this suddenly becomes a lost year for him and his development.

Seperated shoulder actually might be a best case, 4-6 weeks he'll be back. I just hope he didn't tear something.

Garcia's gotta stop trying head first dives. It's not that nobody should do them, it just seems like he doesn't know how to properly dive head first.

It was just a matter of time before he got hurt on those dives.

The pathetic thing is due to Viciedo's fielding in this inning, he'll end up getting more playing time.

Every time he dives he hurts himself it seems. Really bad news.

Good job Cleto.

Nice job by Cleto

It was his plan all along. :o

All in all, looking back, it was really an acceptable game for EJ, in that stadium against that team. Damn shame el tardo in LF let him down there.

So why didn't Ventura challenge? He hadn't nothing to lose there.

Start this inning off right Eaton.

Never mind

Well there was maybe a 1% chance we would have won that challenge. The rule is that the fielder has to either have a clean transfer to the throwing hand or show the ball to the umpire. Garcia didn't do either.

I mean, yeah, he technically caught the ball, but that's not good enough.

if viciedo makes that play garcia wouldnt be out now for an extended period of time

Damn that guy is good at third

de aza should have been in for defense

Well that was an awful top half of the inning.

It's pretty rare for a rookie to win gold glove (since it's usually a hitting award lol), but he did it last year. That's how good he was.

Then there is a good chance you have Luery Garcia playing out there right now.

if we get to the 8th with a tie it will be a minor miracle
