Dunn struck out looking 4 times today. Good game, good effort. It's beyond depressing watching Konerko try to hit RHP.

Golden sombrero.

Golden shower is what Dunn is giving to an especially thirsty Jerry Reinsdorf & Sox FO. Obviously they like the flavor since they're actively choosing to let it continue.

De Aza K to end it ...............fitting end.

There are only two reasons to listen to the postgame show, 1) you've fallen and you can't get up, 2) you're looking for that beggars pizza gift card.

Nieto is now hitting .324.... in 34 at bats.

I like Nieto he has been a nice surprise.

Too bad the guy he catches blows.

He made a mistake on the steal and threw the ball into LF because he didn't stay compact but stood all the way up first before throwing...but generally he's been good in this area.

Without Abreu, they're going to be even flatter and it's going to cause Gillaspie/Viciedo/Dunn/Konerko to press a little more.

The only real difference (from last year) is Eaton and a much weaker starting rotation.

You knew as soon as Beckham hit into that DP that the game was pretty much over. And then the errors and mistakes in fundamentals all over the place again. It won't be too long before we catch Cleveland in the error totals.

And benching DeAza for Sierra is just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic until Abreu/Sale are back and at 100%. Of all the current disappointments (injuries/non-performance), DeAza's attitude is pretty baffling. He seems a little too entitled by being a big leaguer now. Maybe Rios rubbed off on him too much.

Danks has given up seven HR's in 21 2/3 innings In May and it's only the 18th.

Besides the velocity loss, Danks' walk totals are way way up.

Coming into today, his IP/H ratio was fine. But the problem is the walks are pushing his pitch totals up, and the only strikeout pitch he has is the change-up, but that only works if you get ahead of hitters consistently.

If you're forced to go with outside "fastballs" against major league hitters looking for that pitch and location at 86-89, you better have impeccable location, which he clearly does not at this point in his recovery (and might never regain).

Nieto 3-3. That's good.

Glad I missed this one.

Top 7 pick 2015, here we come.

The Sox have played nine 3-game series this season. They went 2-1 in the opening series of the season. They have gone 1-2 in the other eight.

Luckily winning 3 out of 4 a few times has helped their overall record.

The 'is-post-injury-danks good' debate is an interesting one because the answer is unquestionably no, yet the battle rages on

Dunn should be proud. That's quite a feat. Surely that hasn't been done many times in baseball history. I mean at some point you take a weak swing at least on strike three.

I think the question at this point is not whether he is good but whether he will ever be good again.

At this point the eight ball is saying all signs point to no, but who knows.

When you look at Danks' career stats, he has all the ear-markings of somebody who will be out of baseball at 32.

A few good years, a couple mediocre, surgery, rehab, comeback not as good, can't find Plan B to get outs, gone.

It isnt that unique of a feat

Well, he did have Miranda Lambert as his maid-of-honor, and then there's the music career of his wife to fall back on if that $65 million contract isn't enough to last.
