Hawks 2-1 Vermette

Hawks 2-1 Vermette

Great area pass by Versteeg when he was losing control

Great win....................Hawks will win the Stanley Cup on home ice Monday for the first time since 1938 in a blowout!

Edited by Soxfest

Hawks were the worse offensive team overall tonight and still managed to win the game, they got a ton of s*** they need to clean up though

Uno mas.

Kane will probably score 4 goals Monday.

Lots of good play by the 4th line, Versteeg, Vermette, Crawford, all the defensemen and Toewes and Hossa for their steady 2 way play.

Just looked at Stubhub, $950 cheapest standing room, $1,500 cheapest seat, crazy.

I had both of our tickets for game 4, so I'm out for game 6, but should be a crazy atmosphere.

He was present just knew he had to move the puck because Hedman was shadowing him. Their plan is clearly shut Kane.

It's already increased. Can't get in the door for less than 1000

if the Hawks win, where does Toews rank on the list of all time Chicago athletes? Is it number 3 already? He's only 27 and I think he has a decent argument for #3

So if the Hawks win on Monday when would the parade be? I ask because we are visiting family and planned on going downtown on Tuesday or Wednesday

If they win Monday, it would probably be Thursday or Friday.

Yup, $1,071 for SRO, $1,750 for a seat. Who says the economy is bad?

Maybe let's stop planning the parade yet.

A few days ago people couldn't enjoy a win enough, now they are enjoying it too much?

Not planning anything. Just wondering what it was like previous championships because I am visiting the city, that is all.

Fans are allowed to look ahead, the players aren't and that's all that matters.

Since 2009, in games 4 - 7, the Blackhawks are 41-14.

TBL has a TON of pressure on them for game 5. Why? Because the BH have been here before. They don't get too up when they win nor too down when they lose. A young, inexperienced in the SCF team can easily let the pressure get to them.

Of course, it hasn't happened so far, but the 'hawks haven't played their best hockey yet.

IMHO, I think the Lightning have come closer to playing the best they can than the Blackhawks...and it's still tied at 2.

Plus, I don't worry until G6.

Great post. Great win. I love Crawford. He gets very little credit from some fans who have backup quarterback syndrome, but damn, he stopped a few shots that easily could have tied that game. Kudos Crawford and everybody else. Had just enough offense the last two games with 2-1 wins thanks to Crawford in large part. If Hawks win this series, back to back 2-1 wins are pretty special.

I predict nobody will pay 1000 bucks.

Great point. This thing is far from over. Have the Hawks lost home games in the playoffs? Yes.

I didn't see anyone but media idiots doing that

First chance to win on home ice since 1938. And you are right, people aren't paying $1000, they were paying OVER $1000 a standing room only spot.

It's so strange how fate steps up to help. Crawford's puck handling blunder early in the 1st period not only doesn't cost a goal but injures Kucherov who arguably has been the biggest thorn in the Hawks side,

Hockey is deplorable. But one win away from 3 titles in 6 years is beyond impressive. You're talking the *barf* premier franchise in team sports right now.
