Eh I guess you have somewhat of a point. You have to get through Cleveland one way or another, why not just do it earlier?

But you also have to realize Rose needs time to adjust and get his game back. So barring injury, he's better off playing any team other than Cleveland before the CF.

Because our team would still likely be in the process of geling. Tough part about 4 seed is you have a much tougher match-up in first round (6 / 7 / 8 seeds are much worse than 5 seed).

Derrick Rose didn't go through contact practice today, per Thibs. Hinted maybe next week it could happen

Literally yesterday he said contact was "in the next 2 weeks". I saw nothing about it happening today anywhere.

Some sad news, Craig Sagers leukemia has returned

Derrick Rose was full contact today at practice. Thibs says he looked good.

Oh man that is a fantastic tweet.

this is nice, feels like bulls are really coming together right before playoffs. Wish they had a more dominant year regardless.

It is nice. Maybe, just maybe, they can stay in full health. Not holding my breath.

It has been so long, I just automatically assume it won't happen.

Stop it, Steph!

Interesting that you'd focus in on the build of his ankles and actually compliment them.

He obviously got past most of his issues with them, he has put a lot of defenders on their ass this year

Broussard said that Rose is looking to facilitate once he comes back now that he knows he has Niko, Pau and Jimmy all capable of scoring 20. That would be best if he could facilitate for 3.5 quarters then become Point God for the last 6 minutes, if he still has it in him.

It's Broussard though, take it with a grain of salt.

that is what a pg suppose to do, dish out to the 1, 2 and 3 choices while at the same time taking it to the hoop, as a last resort.

Isiah Thomas comes to mind.

Broussard can eat a dick, and if Rose needed to see the team without him to know that Jimmy and Pau are good, he's crazy. Niko being dynamic was quite evident as well given his per minute contributions prior to all the injuries.

That said, a distributing Rose in this lineup is as deadly as anything the East has to offer...

Rose

Butler

Niko

Pau

Jo

deep ass bench

except he had them all season and he averaged 5 assists per game... would be nice if he doesn't torture us with his three point shooting :)

With the team we have now, that would be awesome. Keep the ball moving.

I honestly think that Rose seeing them without him might have opened his eyes. It's dumb, but there were quotes from Taj about how he was raving about how Niko opening the floor so much and being so dangerous. He's been conditioned to really not trust his teammates to be this dynamic on offense, maybe now he'll finally learn.

Closing lineup of Rose - Butler - Niko - Pau - Noah could be terrifying.

Niko and Rose running around the perimeter with slashing ability, Jimmy and Pau posting up, and Noah up top running some ball distributing duties will open up the paint for Pau to go to work.

Throw in Snell, Dunleavy and Taj along with situational Kirk/Brooks and you might have something.
