Isnt the cap only an issue if they get Melo or Lebron? They just picked McDermott, not a SG who could play with those guys.

 

Instead of a rookie, well get some average old player. It just doesnt make sense.

Even though I don't think the Bulls will get melo, this has nothing to do with drafting McDermott beside saving a bit of committed cap space.

We wanted to trade the 19th pick anyways so we can save money for Melo

Wouldn't rule out the possibility that the Bulls were told that Minny or NY like him and he could be on the move....

 

He seems like a player the TWolves would like.

The problem is McDermott just doesnt a make a ton of sense for a team getting Melo.

 

Melo and McDermott is not really a great combination to be on the floor at the same time. A guy like Rodney Hood would make a ton more sense if they were actually getting Melo.
