My guess, we well trade Beckham for a bag of balls. Someone will offer to drive him to the airport but it would be an empty gesture because when it really comes down to it the airport is a mess and why would anyone want to do anything for Gordon Beckham?

I'm hoping for a trade with the Yanks involving Danks and Tank/ADA. The Yanks at this point make the most sense.

Yea I would be kind of surprised if Beckham isn't gone. Just makes no sense to keep him since he's been awful and won't be back next year and there are 3 better options right now.

This is where I'm at as well. No one else has to traded unless it's for a deal you simply can't refuse. I don't envision those deals happening.

I think at least one deal will happen tomorrow. Something like Danks, a semi-decent prospect, & cash to the Yankees for J.R. Murphy is my bold prediction.

So you listed a 1B, two IFs, and two AA OFs as better replacements for Viciedo than Danks, which makes no sense. On top of that, the only one of those players that actually has a shot of being an important member of our next playoff team is Semien, who hopefully will be replacing Beckham at 2B in the near future. Him playing OF is possible but unlikely, especially this year.

 

If we trade Viciedo, Danks or Taylor will take his spot on the roster until Garcia is ready.

Well Saladino was playing some OF but he got injured, TJ. So he's out.

 

I think 1 deal happens, but I couldn't say what one. No one has really played well enough to get traded. Dunn and Danks seem more like waiver trade material.

I wonder how strongly the Sox are interested in Yasmani Tomas the 23 yr old Cuban outfielder who some compare to Dayan Viciedo. He won't be as inexpensive though. Estimates range in the $30-40M range anywhere from 4-7 yrs.

Given the success of Cespedes, Abreu, & Puig, I think these players from Cuba may start getting extremely overpaid, so I think you have to careful and certain that a player will be good enough for MLB.

I'm not sure the Giants would part with any kind of ring Barry Bonds used to put around his wood. Maybe Hahn gets a duffelbag (sp?) of clearance items from the SF tourism office. Few bumper stickers, lots of pamphlets, a couple t-shirts, definitely a Golden Gate bridge keychain or 2, etc. Maybe they even make him a custom t-shirt that says "I traded Gordon Beckham to San Francisco and all I got was this T-shirt..." and then on the back it says "Steal!"

I'll stick to what I've said for the past few weeks. No I dont think they will.
