The 5th overall pick in the draft would be nice. Sox would be guaranteed 1 of Bickford, Aiken, Matuella, Cameron, or Kirby. There are some other good HS players too.

sat is going to hurt. I want Bassitt to win so much. but DAMN it.

Tonight the Sox gained a game on....

Texas, Arizona, Boston, Cubs.

Sox have moved up the #8 pick. Sox are 7 GB of the #1 pick, and 4 GB of the #4/#5 pick.

Sox at this rate will be lucky to win 10 games the rest of the year. Probably 8-10 games. So where does that put them? A lot of you will be thrilled at that kind of finish which is coming.

is it bad to cheer for the sox losing?

Tied for the fourth worst rs/ra allowed differential in the majors.

Tied with the cubs for the 7th worst record...picking 8/9 in the first rnd.

well the sox have more days coming to figure this out, before the season ends.

The only thing that can make this day even better, DV and / or Danks traded as well,

and for some serviceable prospects.

I was a little busy the past couple days, but the Sox series vs. Detroit kind of screwed us a little.

Sox now fell back to the #9 pick. Back to 9 GB of the #1 pick, and 4 GB of the #5 pick.

"Screwed us" lol....Fire Robin

This thread is for people who are thinking big picture. That's the "us".

I'm surprised you came back to read this thread that you've said it offends you.

If you're going to do this...can you also tell how far they are ahead of the 12th pick/lose their draft pick if they sign a FA slot?

Pulling for Arizona to win. Tonight's loss will allow us to gain on like 3 teams.

Ugh. Have the Cubs passed the Sox as best team in the city? Yikes.

Certainly the most entertaining/exciting right now.

You've got Hendricks and Wada, Arrieta showing ace stuff, Rondon, then the three new dynamic players in Alcantara, Baez and Soler. On the other hand, Rizzo and Castro are out, but they've been playing much better baseball overall the last 2-3 weeks.

We've basically got Sale/Abreu, Eaton and Avisail...and those who get excited about Semien/Sanchez at-bats. And watching Alexei play defense.

They've definitely won the "media war" the last 6 weeks. Whatever that's worth.

Not that it's a surprise at all...with the writers having had to wait 2-3 years to finally see these guys.

Meanwhile, the White Sox (wisely) decided not to bring up Rodon, just as the Cubs have apparently decided with Bryant, who also has Boras as his agent.

Honestly, I'd say the Bears, D-Rose and Baez/Soler have won the media war, moreso than the Cubs as a team.
