I think that happened in 2014, the year before he he showed up in spring training fat like normal. The end of the contract may not be ideal (he's only 28 now), but I don't think February 15 in year 1 is the day to worry about it.

Haha...I was going to say the same thing. His upside is a solid, early inning reliever. To expect him to be a late inning contributor would be a bad idea. I think the Angels know that and this is a good, cheap, potential vet you can plug into your pen that can potentially help you in those games where you have to go to the pen early, etc.
