Some year I'd love to attend Soxfest. If only it wasn't an icy cold, long drive in the dead of winter.

This is nice.

The rate for SoxFest 2015 ranges from $389 to $528 for a two-night stay at the Hilton Chicago and up to four SoxFest weekend passes. Weekend passes for adults have been reduced over 45 percent to $40, while the White Sox offer a new $20 pass for kids (4-13 years of age) – resulting in over $100 savings for a family of four from last year’s weekend passes. Weekend passes – including special Friday night access and a limited-edition SoxFest premium item – only are available for purchase by fans who book the two-night stay through whitesox.com/SoxFest.

He wasn't there last year either. However, I think he will get announced as the date get's closer.

Should be a good time!

what is the date of the soxfest?

Click the link and you can find out

He's going to be lifting weights and eating cheeseburgers in prep to pitch 240 innings (playoffs included, duh) in 2015.

The gift is a Jose Abreu bobblehead if you pony up for a room and weekend passes.

Looks pretty cool.

I've never been to Soxfest, but now that Geoff Blum will be there I'm going to order tickets today!

Geoff Blum has the highest OPS in World Series history and that is a record that will never be broken.

Ozzie's return should be interesting

Lest we forget Iguchi's 3 run bomb in the 2005 playoffs against Boston http://m.mlb.com/cws/video/v36935789/2005-...tadahito+iguchi

or his wild 2 HR 7 RBI in the 8th and 9th against Houston in 2006 ( solly no video ).

He continued to play in Japan, even last year. Here's a video of a walk off grany. The full AB and the crowd singing and chanting the entire AB just amazes me.

Maybe that'll buy K-Rod for the 8th inning. That'd be pretty cool.

White Sox have announced an expanded list of current and former players scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2015, including: White Sox pitchers John Danks, Zach Duke, Dan Jennings, David Robertson and Jeff Samardzija; White Sox prospects Tim Anderson, Courtney Hawkins, Micah Johnson and Carlos Rodon; White Sox greats Bo Jackson, Ron Kittle, Carlos May, Bill Melton, Minnie Minoso and Billy Pierce; and assistant hitting coach Harold Baines.

Not sure if they've brought out that many prospects in the past, but that's the past 3 first round picks, and the guy they pegged as the 2B of the future. I have a feeling Micah would be on the opening day roster if he could just have a solid but not spectacular Spring Training.

If Micah could be a productive major league player he'll be a fan favorite in Chicago with his looks. If he's an All Star the national media will love him. I posted a video of an interview with him in the hitters mini camp thread.

I am becoming a fan of his already, and I think the media will like him too. He's a pretty intelligent, likable dude with a lot of aspirations in life. I don't think this has been posted on here yet, but he's definitely paying a lot of attention to what Hahn and the team have been doing so far, and hopes to become a GM himself someday.

The tidbit on his 40 yard dash and olympic weight training is also interesting, and could potentially make him a power and speed guy rather than just a speedster.

He's 6'0, 215 right now and running a 4.4? Good god that's insane.

By all means, the kid is definitely a serious athlete. If he was a running back in football, he'd be an elite prospect.

Is there a schedule somewhere out there for each day? Hoping to snag a saturday ticket tomorrow
