Liz is kinda obnoxious but her and Becky could be the bread on a Brian sandwich.

That was the best episode of True Detective, including the first season. I remember jumping out of my seat when I first watched it and its better on a second viewing.

I did notice for next week's True detective little preview at the end,

the captain said his officer was shot, nothing about one being killed

I thought the first episode was pretty boring, but this one was better.

Decided to watch True Detective this past weekend, finished season 1 and caught up with season 2.

 

First season was really good, but the pacing of the show feels slow. It takes a while to actually get into it.

2nd episode really picked up. Even without the surprise ending.

I liked the beginning and the last two episodes. Felt the middle 5 were sort of weak but thought the series was solid although not one of Netflix's best.

 

I'm on board with The Brink as well. Is Carla Gugino in every HBO show? Not that I'm complaining.

I had an hour and watched two episodes yesterday. It's actually not bad. I mean it's not award winning or anything, but it's a fun show. Lots of nice cars, nice houses, and hot women.

 

HBO's got a nice 2 hour block of good shows right now.

also the psychiatrist looked so familiar.... couldn't place him... it's Rick Springfield.
