This is the narrowest bell curve I've ever seen on one of these on this site. A ton of people in a very tight range.

I think 84 sounds about right.

it's sad to see how wrong we were

For some reason I did not post but I'm pretty sure I was in that 84-89 range. Just a bit off.

Balta for thread MVP

Balta for thread MVP

I gotta go with Fathom, especially on the Shark call

Five or so below .500. I hope the team is much better, though. I bought mlb.com package.

Nothing would surprise me. I've said it time and again ... can this team start winning series in the Central? I hope we get one in KC to open the season. It would be buzzkill to get swept by the AL Champs who will be playing with house money as everybody honors them opening series.

You guys despise Greg's picks. Look at this one I made, baby. I will accept praise in this thread if u wanna praise Greg!!

Yep. Fathom and Balta did well but I think the edge goes to fathom. Both predictions are kind of eerie in retrospect.

Why are you talking in third person?

I could still be right on. Don't rule out an 18-6 finish. DON'T DO IT.

80-82. I don't believe in Avisail Garcia, I don't believe in the back end of the rotation, and I have to predict that a couple guys get hurt just because usually a couple guys get hurt. If those things happen, the team has some real holes.

That said, I'm absolutely hopeful for an awesome season, and even if the team jumps from 60-something wins to 80 wins, it'll still be a very positive thing. A playoff appearance very much COULD happen. But I think it's less than 50% that the team makes the playoffs, so my my best guess seems a little negative.

Not too far off. Looks like it'll be a touch high.

I'm way too optimistic in March.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

The bell curve on SoxTalk is usually pretty decent at this. Failed this year though. Me included, in a big way.

If someone told you there were no injuries and on Sept. 11 John Danks' ERA would be .29 lower than Samardzija's, in March would you think that meant Danks was exceeding expectations or that Shark was turrible.
