Bold Predictions Thread

Featured Replies

We've had a few predictions thread, but this one is always the best one. I'll start.

Jose Abreu will only hit 22 homers, but will lead the league in average and .obp with 100+RBI

Micah Johnson leads the AL in stolen bases and hits over .315

John danks is a respectable 5th starter.

Avisail Garcia hits better than 270 with an OPS over 770 and plays in 140+ games.

Gardenhire will end the season as Sox manager

Jose Quintana wins 20 games.

Micah Johnson leads the AL in stolen bases at the All-Star break.

Sox acquire Kurt Suzuki from the Twins at the deadline.

Frankie Montas becomes a late-inning reliever in the playoffs.

if not sooner then that.

The magic will leave Tyler Flowers' glasses.

Scott Fletcher joins Robin as bench coach Beckham average drops below .100 but still on target to play in

162 games in 2015.

.375/.475/.675

Tyler Flowers hits under .200 before being replaced by Soto

Semien/Bassitt/Phegley/Ravelo produce around the same amount of WAR as Samardzija

Abreu has an OBP of over .400

Rodon replaces Danks in the rotation and beats his ERA by over 2

White Sox go under .500

White Sox 2015 World Series champs.

My bold prediction is Eaton steals 35 bases and Garcia hits 25 HRs

Rodon replaces Danks for good by May 15th.

Abreu flirts with a 400 BA for most of the yr. and wins MVP

Sale finishes 20-3 with a 1.50 ERA and 275 strikeouts en route to his first Cy Young.

Samardzija will finish the year with a 3.90 ERA.

Tyler Flowers will hit 20 home runs.

Based on Micah Johnson's play, the White Sox will cut Gordon Beckham.

Flowers won't be the number one catcher on the roster.

I honestly think Abreu's numbers in his second year will be ridiculously far ahead of everyone else in MLB. Him winning the MVP will be a foregone conclusion.

Avisail Garcia turns out to be Dayan Vicideo 2.0 with the bat and in the field.

Sox sweep the awards, Sale the CY, Jose the MVP and Rodon the ROY.

Win in 6 against the Pirates in the WS.

Micah steals 40+ and bats over .300

Both Flowers and Soto tank, The mets struggle in their rotation sox trade for Travis d'Arnaud.

I'd be okay with this.

- Abreu wins Batting title

- Sale wins Cy

- Danks gets traded in mid-June

- Matt Davidson gets called up in June

- Micah bats for .285

- Abreu hits 27 HRs, Avi for 22, LaRoche for 22, Melky for 15, Ramirez for 15

- Robertson winds up with 49 saves

- Ventura appears less s***ty

- We end the year with a deep post-season run and talks of a Sale-Shark-Q-Buehrle-Rodon rotation for '16

- Sox acquire Wieters at the deadline for Danish, Flowers, Anderson, and Beck

-Sox win '16-'19 World Series

That's a bold prediction right there.

I'd be okay with this.

Hahn has tried to address the catching situation for two offseasons now. I think something like Sanchez, Danish/Montas/Adams, Beck/Fry + a live arm like Guerrero might get it done, while leaving the sox depth and some of their upper level talent.
