man how nice would it be to have a manager that talked to and would consider using the closer in this situation. I have no doubt Joe Maddon would. Not many would but Robin never. Doesn't get much higher leverage than on the road tied in the 8th against a division opponent. That said, the pitchers have to pitch at some point. Throw strikes.
