Such a winnable game, so many blown chances. Let's smoke Allen in the 9th again.

This is why home runs are awesome.

He had a huge double vs Abad last Friday. He earned himself more chances vs LHP after that

Fair enough. Sox really needed contact there. I'd have preferred Beckham trying to at least put ball in play.

Looks like bad sleep for me tonight

Sox in rough shape and the Hawks are getting outplayed

4 less than anyone in AL

Well, this wasn't completely unexpected.

Bauer's a very tough pitcher this year, especially on the road (for whatever reason).

Have had their opportunities and haven't been able to cash in.

Wonder why Sanchez was giving himself up in the middle of the game....if that was from RV or his own idea? Because playing for a tie at that point at home is pretty ill-advised, especially when Flowers is running from 2nd.

Guess we'll have the usual debate about PHing for LaRoche in the late innings when a LHR's on the mound.

A second guesser would say "Pinch hit for La Roach against a tough lefty in the clutch late in game."

Robin hasn't ph for him all year. I would like to see Beckham there also, but it's obvious it won't happen at this time. After that double last week, it's not changing anytime soon.

He just better ph for Flowers. Robin will though.

If only the Royals still had Shields, he's already given up 14 homeruns on the year.

Bauer's change-up moves like a screwball. He is a match-up nightmare for the sox. A pitcher with good stuff with late movement who throws out of the zone. The effectively wild pitcher. We of course are up there hacking.

bloop and a blast please

Conor late on a fastball?

Alexei took a pitch?

We r screwed

Alexei looks lost at the plate

Nice to see Alexei swinging for a homer there. He dipped his back big time during last two AB. He's a mess

Alexei reacted to that curve like kids in the Pony league do the first time they see one.

Whelp go get em tomorrow

ah, the trademark falling over the plate while popping up to first base

Ah the game of baseball. Tonight the Sox just plain looked like a lousy team again.

We all know the past few weeks the Sox overall have looked very good.

How many pop ups to first can a guy hit Alexi? Sit him Wednesday.

Emilio doesn't care for your speed up the game rules

we beat ourselves
