Thank you for the stats. I now believe Robin SHOULD not be fired. This team has overachieved (win wise) big time considering how rotten it is.

Unfortunately KW and Hahn. They brought these lousy players to town. Those stats are amazing and appalling. I don't know how we've won 33 percent of our games.

True, but no hitter wants to stink. So I would assume the hitters are trying and just don't have the ability which falls on KW and Hahn. For instance the Melky signing was totally avoidable. That's just money flushed away. The Robertson signing was great. But again, the LaRoche money was flushed down the drain. And Soto and Boni ... the list goes on. I like Hahn when I hear him speak so I'm willing to give him a do-over. I wish he'd pull the trigger and start trading like mad.

but 2 things, 1. there has to be a reason on why they started like this,

2. i am saying started, b/c look at the last month to month stats and see how the hitters has performed.

 

and yet see who hasn't done or turned it around. i still blame a lot on RV, there were some really bad coaching decision that he made.

Let's blame robin for the players not hitting instead of the 2 hitting coaches the sox have. Let's blame kw and Hahn for the players not hitting instead of the 2 hitting coaches the sox have. The sox have 2 hitting coaches peeps and they can't seem to get the hitters to hit. I think that's the first line of blame to go then trying to peg your manager which is not his job to teach hitters how to hit. Most of the guys that are on the team were hitting better last year here or some place else and this year most are horrible.

Um Greg you know that little column next to the Win and Loss column that says PCT ? It's winning percentage and the Sox are .456 which means 45.6 per cent of the games we've played we've won . Minor point, just thought I'd let you know it's not 33 %.

perhaps you didn't hear - Kenny Williams says that Steverson "does a great job" of getting hitters ready.

I wonder if we can somehow get Norris from the Jays. I don't care if he is a lefty. Get all of them!

Imo, as long as Samardzija continues to pitch well another team with better prospects to offer will be calling the Sox FO. Toronto can keep their prospects. Patience Sox fans.

Unfortunately the more time that goes by the less starts Jeff can make for his new team. Maybe that makes a difference in the package offered, maybe not. But the more time that goes by the bigger the risk, Shark pitches bad or gets injured ala Jesse Crain .

I'm not impressed with anything Toronto has to offer and there will be other teams interested in Samardzija so I see no problem with waiting.

I know next to nothing about other teams prospects, outside of the names of Hoffman and Pencost. I did notice a couple of SS's on their top prospects list from BA. Anyone I should want?

So with well reported potential trades, team's fans are usually on opposite end of the spectrum. Here are proposed trades from Blue Jays fans.

 

Shark and LaRoche for Collabello, Pompey and Pentecost.

Pompey is #25 on BP's midseason list.

Collabello seems like a AAAA player except that he's having an excellent year.

Honestly that doesn't seem that bad, esp. as some were satisfied with Shark-Pentecost.

 

Not really. I am sure the Jays would ask the world for Urena and he's far off. He's got a lot of power and projects to be able to stick at SS. Daniel Lugo is struggling and is a murderer!!!

Ahh but he's more than a rental . He represents the hopes and dreams of teams to win a World Series potentially being realized. Sox gave up 3 players ML ready players for him hopefully can get 1 ML ready player and 2 more low minors guys or 2 and 1 .

Just my opinion but the Yankees and Dodgers make the most sense.
