Frank_Thomas Posted July 29, 2015 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Looks like the Cubs are getting close to a deal, was watching Kap and Haugh earlier and they were talking about one of the Cubs Minor leaguers, one of their big international signings was pulled from a game and supposedly his teammates were seen giving hugs and tweeting goodbyes. I think Kimbrel is worth more than those, Baez does make sense as a possible return for either of the first 2 IMO. I presume if Shields goes, it is a salary dump and they don't get much (even though I think he's paid relatively fairly, I don't see Cubs giving up someone like Baez for him.
