Pretty indefensible decision to send him home, but McEwing was on an absolute roll lately.

 

I'm more angry about the constant f***ups of Zach Duke and the fact we keep seeing him out there in key situations

Whatever happened to "tie at home win on the road"? Absolutely no reason to send him on a ball that didn't get very deep into the outfield with the centerfielder racing in and with all the momentum in his favor.

I can't believe I witnessed a grown man, in baseball his whole life, send a runner on a base hit with nobody out on a play in which the outfielder had the ball about the time Lexi took one step past third base.

 

It seems like we have the worst 3B coaches the last few seasons. Good god, how can that man live with himself? How could anybody with baseball knowledge send Lexi there? If you flip the W-L record against the NL in 2007, it wouldn't have been as abysmal of a year as it ended up being, despite the fact that watching that team for more than a few innings at a time would make your eyes bleed.

There were posters here who wanted Thompson in just for defensive reasons. He could've went 0 for this game and still had the defensive value.

Well, Baltimore's winning as well...although the Angels are playing so badly they're putting themselves back in the elimination bracket.

 

This game is a perfect illustration of why we should have dealt Shark.

There's never been a worse send. I mean get your head out of your ass. You are a coach. You don't let emotions get to you. You cannot let the runner try to score with nobody out. The White Sox would have tied the game minimum. They've completely tanked since winning seven in a row. Just unbelievable.
