Oh Flowers you had to know a high fastball was coming with Arrieta ahead in the count and not wanting to throw a curve in the dirt again which might score Avi from 3rd if it gets away.

That strike 3 to sanchez was a helluva pitch.

FWIW I would not walk a guy to get to Schwarber with a RISP. But not an obviously wrong call for the lefty lefty matchup. .852 OPS against lefties but .200 points lower than against righties.
