Give Rusell some credit. Great slide, front foot hugging the ground going for the field side of the plate. A lot of times runners slide with that lead foot up and it goes right over the plate.

If you want to blame something blame the rules that force the catcher to catch the ball off the plate ( since he can't block it any more) then turn and swipe as fast as you can blindly swiping and hoping to get a runner who can pick and choose how and where to slide.
