you gotta be bleepin me

This is crazy. Good for the DBacks.

I'd like to see the dump truck full of money AZ had to give him to sign, if only to know how many axles it has.

Gotta be the new unis.

Hope we can get Maeda now.

This is very surprising to say the least.

Arizona is going to be interesting next year. Before this signing they only had $34 million in committed money for next season so makes sense that they have the money.

Archie Bradley is a key to their future success too.

Maybe Greinke can help mentor him.

Did not see that coming

This could also force the Dodgers to overpay for Q or gulp...even Sale out of necessity since they have to replace Greinke.

Samardzija played this perfectly

Gonna guess Cueto to Dodgers and Leake to Giants

Well then

Their rotation is still not much to be desired for.

Grienke, Corbin, Bradley, Ray, and De La Rosa, Collmenter?

Very average.

Greinke must really like their new uniforms.

I have a feeling they either trade for a big starter (Q!) or bring in another FA like Chen or Shark.

Would not have thought the Dodgers would be outbid. Wonder if Grienke's issue with Puig had anything to do with his decision?

This is also another possibility.

Although I doubt that they'd trade Inciarte/Peralta or whoever else now since they're clearly going all in.

I don't think they'll sign another pitcher unless it's Maeda. I see them going the trade route (Gray, Carrasco, Q)

Wonder if this crushes my dreams of us trading Q for 2-3 MLB ready hitters.

A healthy Cueto would pitch well at Dodger Stadium.

@fergoe: Diamondbacks must've found Walter White's barrels in the desert

Hahaha

How would this crush your dreams?

There are so many teams looking for quality pitching still and everyone would love to have Q in their rotation.

I don't think it's a matter of finding a suitor for Q, it's a matter of getting a good enough return for him to pull the trigger on a deal.

Awesome. I love it.

Keep running those Dodgers like the Rays, Andrew.

For all the grief Stewart got for selling Touki Toussant, he didn't get the credit he deserved for moving Mark Trumbo for actual talent.
