January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:25 PM) Eaton RT'd someone saying that they wouldn't be surprised if they wore these jerseys during the season. I would be surprised. I think you have to give notice to MLB months in advance to wear something during the season. Maybe they did this, but the AZ things on them make me think they wouldn't wear these during the season. Besides, they already have black tops.
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Isn't that the real reason for new uniforms? Hey more non Bears related clothes is less complaining from the girlfriend
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:37 PM) Shysocks mentioned this in the miscellaneous thread, but I think this deserves it's own thread. These are amazing. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/692760769218236416 How about a non-Twitter based photo?
January 28, 201610 yr I've often wondered what an '83/current hybrid would look like and it's everything I've ever dreamed of.
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) I would be surprised. I think you have to give notice to MLB months in advance to wear something during the season. Maybe they did this, but the AZ things on them make me think they wouldn't wear these during the season. Besides, they already have black tops. Many teams have worn their spring training unis or caps during e season. I believe they automatically become a part of their set, but since the spring training unis have always been kind of ugly, very few teams used them.
January 28, 201610 yr I don't dislike them, but I also don't understand why people like them so much.
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) How about a non-Twitter based photo? This has the hat at the top of the page and the uniform somewhere in the body. Also includes a hilarious USA Today poll. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/01/mlb-spring...dodgers-brewers
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) So the Blue Jays hat looks like a Maple Leafs hat. That can't be good. And the cap is navy blue, despite the Jays' wearing royal blue. That's going to look like a mess. On the other hand, I really like the new Rays' jersey and the Royals' crown logo cap. Also, anyone see the Twins' new red alternate? I dig it. Edited January 28, 201610 yr by coco1997
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) Love that cap. I'm gonna have to get one. The one in the online shop doesn't look quite right: http://shop.mlb.com/Chicago_White_Sox_New_...IFTY_Fitted_Hat
January 28, 201610 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) The one in the online shop doesn't look quite right: http://shop.mlb.com/Chicago_White_Sox_New_...IFTY_Fitted_Hat I don't think it's the same. The ST one has the patch on the side.
January 28, 201610 yr Not to sound like a crotchety old man but this is not a logo picked up in the 80's, it goes back to the black and white unis of the 70's. I like this look and may have to buy the hat. Edited January 28, 201610 yr by Harry Chappas
January 28, 201610 yr Always hated this logo, still do. I also hat that it's become the default logo to put on retro apparel.
January 29, 201610 yr They should wear those with black pants that have a white stripe down the side. Would look dope as s***.
January 29, 201610 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) The one in the online shop doesn't look quite right: http://shop.mlb.com/Chicago_White_Sox_New_...IFTY_Fitted_Hat That one's different. The ST ones are made of the sports fabric or whatever they call it.
January 29, 201610 yr http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25465155 Royals and White Sox ranking 1 and 2, TB really needs some help, along with Mr. Met Cubs' hat sucks too...
January 29, 201610 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) Back to the topic at hand, I like that they separated the batter logo from the block SOX. I hate the block SOX logo from the 80's. The batter logo actually looks pretty smooth on its own. 100% agree on this. It's minimalist on it's own and stands up really well.
