No, it actually made sense. Again, wanted Duke to face Reddick, which is the right call, but if you put Nate in that situation to start the inning, he needs to be pulled. Jake may have been the wrong guy, could have gone with Albers, but that's splitting hairs.

Yup.

I understand why he did it. I just don't like Petricka.

Duke could have just started the inning since Lowrie is switch hitter

Damn, Jones challenging Davis with the fastball right in that perfect HR-hitting zone on back to back pitches.

Jones is the man!

Filthy!

Nate Jones I love you

An insurance run or two would be nice, but I doubt we get it. Pretty weak showing for our offense today. Just one good inning aided by defensive mishaps.

Hopefully that ends the anyone else that isn't Nate jones in the 8th inning experiment by Robin.

Atta boy jones! I wasn't knocking Robin really. I just don't like Jake in the 8th at all. He played the matchups so I like what he did. I like Albers better.

Davis swings 110% on every pitch. I was thinking we should have traded for him this off-season, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Eh I'll take it after what I've seen this team do the past two seasons. They'll be ok.

Mr. Jones

I do think we need another lefty reliever FWIW, as Jennings is a reverse-split pitcher so he basically functions as a righty, matchups-wise

Late innings is not the time for a reliever with a career WHIP around 1.4

I need this Sox win after a heartbreaking UNC loss

Go back to bed dude.

No. You go to bed.

Nice job by Nate. Would be great to win this game.

Here's your time to shine Brett.

BREH BREH BREH

Good start by Lawrie. Get him over and get him in boys.

Agreed, he'd be a huge Soxtalk whipping boy. Approach reminds me of Viciedo.
