I don't think we could have asked for a better start. Only one poor start out of 9 so far. Offense has been doing just enough. What a great first week and a half.

More like the salmon, because they are going to spend the rest of the year swimming up stream now.

Sox bullpen now carrying a 0.90 ERA, best in baseball. Cubs at 0.93 have a chance to move back in front tonight.

This feels awesome.

 

Sweeps are fairly uncommon anyway, but I would have bet soxtalk would have put a 5% or less chance of the sox sweeping the twins to put them at 0-9 during their home opening series.

 

They are defying our expectation in a good way. Let's keep this up. This is the kind of pitching staff I felt like we had, and they are showing it to us.

How about Mat Latos?! Wow. He has been GOOD thus far. Keep it up, buddy!!!!!

 

yeah...this is fun. Pitching has just been ridiculous and it's nice have a real live 3B!!!!

The best part is, following Latos, the man pitching to preserve the winning streak is NOT John Danks, but rather, Chris Sale.

Good ol smoke and mirrors show so far. He did get the fastball up to around 92 today, so that's really encouraging.

Defense was good today made some huge plays. Couple mishaps but that's baseball.

 

Frazier with a great play to seal it! Nice play earlier to get Rosario out on a dumb base running play.

The Avi haters need to admit he's not done yet. Like he said on postgame if he can learn to swing at strikes he still might have a career.

What a great play by Frazier. The pitching is great again. Nice to see Robertson pouring strikes in there. Suddenly Robin looks like a great manager. No problem winning in Minnesota's ballpark this time. That's what happens when players perform.

It's great to have a nice first two weeks. The alternative is what's going on in Minnesota and it just sucks to have a record like that.

They said on post game, in first place for 8 days, more than last three seasons combined.

Nice sweep. Now onto Tampa. We're missing Archer and the Sox are trotting out two of their horses in Sale and Quintana. No reason to think we can't win two of three. Coming back home to face a poor Angels team at 9-3 would be sweet. Maybe Danks shows up in game 2 and we can sweep another one.

Nice to see Melky heat up after being bounced between 2 hole and 5th spot.

 

 

Also really excited about that 3rd run. As simple as it was, we haven't done that well lately. Nice to see good fundamental baseball.

The Rays offense is only slightly better than the Twins right now.

Latos pitched well today his Four-seam Fastball was sitting right around 92 and got up and nearly hit 94; Great sign. Avi and his metrics moving in the right direction. Glad to see Todd throwing some leather. Sox are 7-2!!! and Swept the Twins glad we didn't cave and give them their first win.

Yea he actually had good stuff today. If he can keep this velocity it's not fools gold IMO.
