  1. So this is not considered as responding with emotions and attacking a poster and not a post, especially when your victory posts in that thread sound more like a bitter, whiny little kid. You’re maddingly inconsistent, as always. Makes me wonder why people call you idiot to begin with.
  2. Are you sure you weren’t responding to me the whole time because I live rent free in your head? "If you want to say it’s not racist, sure” I seem to recall I’m the only one or two of the posters taking this stance. So you told me not to respond with emotion (which I don’t), and you’re doing a great job here convincing me with the first paragraph pal. Holding vendetta against posters online, feeling the need to “keep online receipts”, and constantly bringing up posts from years ago must be a healthy, non-toxic behavior that you’re doing a great job of keeping up.
  3. Unfortunately for you, I clearly read what you said. And the reason I responded with my post is your post clearly was a response to my earlier post, especially the part in bold. Your post really reads like even if it’s not racism, it’s something... However, definition of the crime is important here, hence my post. I guess that went over your head, but hey I’m the one having comprehension issues here. If you want to blame the guy, at least get the definition right. We are in a woke culture where we’re trying to bring awareness to social and racial injustices that are happening around us, but at the same time you cannot call racism when an act of racism hasn’t been committed. That’d be irresponsible, won’t solve issues in the long term and words start to lose meaning. Not to dismiss the public display ignorance by an executive here, he got what he deserved, but again, definition is important. Also, what’s ironic is the last paragraph here, that I let my emotions get the best of me. I must of forgotten that I was so triggered when others do not agree with my POV on a subject that I felt the need to bring up an old NBA thread every year to prove to the internet my knowledge and my superiority, and got so upset that I almost quit the site after proof of my said superiority was removed from existence. Yep, that totally happened.
  4. Here we go again with Mr. Know it All. Sorry pal, in order for something to be considered racist, it needs to target a specific characteristic of a race or discriminate against one. What Mather said could be considered xenophobic, but not racist. I thought you would know the difference since you seem to know everything about anything.
  5. You can call it tone deaf, insensitive, ignorant, poor taste, etc. But calling it racism is a big leap for me, especially compared to other acts of racism going around in the society currently. This is coming from someone who of Asian descent and had to learn English as a second language. Someone who point of my English proficiency or lack thereof isn’t nearly as offensive as mocking accent of my people or stringing together words to pretending they’re speaking an Asian language, you know the “ching chong ding dong” bit in many comedy sketches. Same goes with my taco truck example, if I go out of my way to mock the way the guy speaks, I would consider that to be racist, but that isn’t what’s happening here.
  6. I used to recommend a taco truck to my co-workers - there’s this great taco truck by the office, the guy who runs it doesn’t speak much English, but the food is great. Is that considered a racist comment in 2021? It seems based on the reactions in the first page, we have a new definition for racism now. Now, are Mather’s comments poor taste and unfit for an executive? They sure are. Should he had been fired for his poor judgment? I would support it. But painting those comments as racist is a stretch IMO. It may seem like I’m nitpicking here, my post is less on the decision to fire him but more on the social implications.
  7. Our favorite game, in Sox prospect currency, this is probably Engel, Adolfo, and Kade McClure. I would have pulled the trigger hoping Benny would bounce back to at least league average.
  8. A coach who could add 1 WAR to a player’s output in a matter of weeks should be paid in millions.
  9. From a Dodgers perspective, a front loaded deal with a almost guaranteed opt out in year 3 also helped drive their luxury tax hit down for the first 2 years. This is definitely a unique and beneficial deal on both sides.
  10. Jerry clearly doesn’t want to be overshadowed by Cohen here.
  11. I've mentioned before that agents use Hector to spread info to drive up FA bidding. They do throw him a bone once in a while on extensions or small deals. But the next time he breaks something major, that will be a first.
  12. Two years ago Sox signed Ervin Santana to the exact same deal. Though I have no idea how he made the roster that year.
  13. This basically made Watson untradeable. You’re probably looking at at least 5 1sts along with a number of 2nd or 3rds
  14. No but it includes a bonus if her wife doesn’t whine on Twitter for the year.
  15. What’s next? Mazara as our bargain hunting LHH DH?
  16. They don’t or do you refuse to accept reality? All posts on Bauer and Ozuna are just pipe dreams.
  17. Doesn't matter, they signed him to bring his piss poor attitude for 162 games and get into his teammates' face.
  18. Tripod? With that level of confidence one of the the legs has to be longer than the other two. 😂
  19. He may be little, but you can’t call him Little Dick Nick.
  20. The tax rate? I just did a quick Google search. There might be more to it.
  21. It looks like the Japanese income tax is only 10%. And he gets to be closer to family. So it would have taken a much better offer to keep him in the states.
  22. I am not convinced he’d get more playing time with Giants. They got Solano who is solid at 2B, and Flores will get reps there too. At least with Sox he’d be able to DH.
  23. He rage quit Soxtalk after his beloved Colin Sexton thread got deleted.
  24. Checks the profile picture, looks at the posts, the reactions check out.
