DJ was actually defending him on that one...Garza was supposedly very effective at nailing the inside corner with 3 pitches to the point where Dunn had to protect that side of the plate, then he nailed the outside.

Jesus, the broadcast and the crowd makes it seem like the Cubs just took the lead that inning.

They should be fired up.

Blowing opportunities like that get you beat on a regular basis and if the Cubs have any balls at all they'll take advantage of that wasted opportunity.

Thanks Dunn.

the pitches were on the inside corner, but that called strike 3 was right there.

Agree. Dunn didn't exactly battle, but Garza made some great pitches.

I'm amazed Soto lined up inside to Paulie there. 1-2 fastball inside? Suicide. They got away with it, but that's dreadful pitch selection.

Gameday put it over the plate but on the outer half, so at least Garza should get some credit for an effective sequence.

Fathom may be right. If Dunn keeps this up the rest of this season and is the same next April and May, he may just retire.

How can a human being fail for this long and not have it affect them no matter the money?

Do you honestly think it has no effect on Dunn?

Don't know. If he continues sucking I can't imagine him not just retiring.

George Brett couldn't handle hitting .250 after being a god for so long so he quit.

Dunn is worst hitter than most pitchers.

Wrigley Field is a goofy place. Ball goes up in the air, the drunks start acting like they just hit a 900 foot homer.
