The team we saw in the first four games of the postseason would absolutely have a chance this series.

After watching the Rays and judging on this game alone, I dont think us vs them would have been a stomp as some predicted.

2027 Offense
Packaging Braden with Benintendi is killing prospect capital again to save a few million...ugh. Just don't see the logic of selling so low on a prospect at that age. Better to sell Meidroth at a high and move Antonacci to second, but Getz would never do that. Having watched Braden in milb CF, and now Bonemer, feels like 75%+ or higher likelihood that Caleb ends up on a corner as well.

which pitcher/s was/were going to hold them down, though? CLE using 3/4 starter against TB #1 on road

2027 Offense
IF defense is key and I don't see any changes there given every player is solid starter to star level and young and cheap: Vargas, Colson (who the f*** is Colston? He plays TE not SS), Chase, Mune. C: Teel, Quero. Quero has earned the backup role imo. He'll be fine as a cheap 35/45 type. Teel is gonna catch 120+ next year imo. He is just hungry and the injuries were fluke things from WBC. OF: Peters, Sam, Braden, Doyle. Just eat the Beni salary. See what Grich wants. Baldwin will factor in I'd imagine. It's interesting, he had the patch repair (which is better for position players) so he should have been full go for a few months now, at least swinging. He's still got a bit of shine imo. He's more impressive physically in person that you'd think. Utility guys will shake out, no real use projecting. I don't think they are particularly tied to Acuna, to their credit. The obvious place to trade would be corner. You could probably package Braden and Beni and ____ for something. I'm not saying you do it, but it wouldn't be awful on paper. Ant is same. I like Ant more than Braden, but both have flaws. Both are also young and talented enough that trading them could come back to bite us. I would only do it for an obvious SP upgrade with some control. Someone threw out a trade for Kirby from Seattle. I could see that. Bonemer will have to force the issue. Same with Roch. We'll see if anybody else does. It does seem like they think Bonemer might be a CF. This team will be projected like 81-81 next year without any spending, pretty good spot to be in. Too bad we have to pay Castillo but you never know. Maybe he can surprise.

Favorite Sox Player of the Hahn Rebuild Era?
I was at Wrigley when he hit that home run...that was fun. I was going nuts and didn't see the best part....my wife said the crowd was cheering "throw it back" and the Sox fan held the home run ball up high, kissed it, and put it in his pocket

Breaking their own record that they set earlier in the series for most strikeouts has to get someone's attention.

2 down 2 to go for the Brewers first NL pennant. Of course, going up 2-0 at home in a best of 7 hardly makes this close to a done deal. Now the next 3 in LA.

There wil probably be some minor coaching changes. For example, I could see a team poaching Walker to be a manager. I do think teams will poach from the white Sox now in the same ways they do the Rays and brewers. Probably will focus on the rebuild being over and that they need to get pitching. I do like how transparent Getz is compared with Hahn.

2027 Rotation
It is going to be a weird offseason for our pitching depth, and I expect quite a few trades to take place. Before considering potential free agents, Fangraphs has our projected starting rotation to be: Sean Burke - R Davis Martin - R Anthony Kay - L Luis Castillo - R Hagen Smith - L I am not sure about Hagen Smith. I can see us having him in the bullpen for a bit longer. Crochet pitched 66 innings in the bullpen before he was let loose. Hagen Smith is at 28ip, and I am not 100% convinced he has mastered his command. I can see him sticking it out in the bullpen for a while. I also expect Grant Taylor to get a shot at the starting rotation at some point next year. He has stated he wants to be a starter, and I don't see why the team wouldn't oblige him. It is better value for everyone. This is where the money is, he has shown his stamina is where it needs to be, and his arm is healthy. 84 innings this year is pretty substantial. Then you have those who are knocking on the door for a back end of the rotation spot. I trust some over the others and ranked them as I see them: David Sandlin - R Noah Schultz - L - Likely going the bullpen route? Drew Thorpe - R Shane Smith - R Outside shot at SP depth: Shane Murphy - L - Bullpen? Tanner McDougal - R - Bullpen? Ky Bush - L - Emergency doom case Jonathon Cannon - R - Emergency doom case Adding 1-2 SP will definitely force Getz to make some moves this offseason. He has to sign at least 1 SP right? Even if he doesn't sign anyone, you have to imagine a couple of the more fringe guys get dealt (Thorpe, Smith, Kay), or maybe Schultz is included in a bigger trade. I think people expecting a whale of a SP signing are going to be very disappointed. Castillo is going to get a long leash you would have to imagine.

Favorite Sox Player of the Hahn Rebuild Era?
I just loved the story of Abreu's Amigos when he was here so I will go with Pito. Plus he basically earned his MVP in one series against the Cubbies so that's never a bad thing.
