True. Outside of Castillo the TDL was not the downfall of the slump. The number #1 run scoring team in the league has had a lot of trouble scoring runs and Davis, Burke, Kay all have had their problem since the All Star break and TDL. The bullpen was overworked but allowed Hagen Smith to get his feet wet and is now flourishing. Maybe if the Sox can clinch the Divsion with a couple of games to go we see a start by Thorpe but the Sandlin move was the right one. I think they just want Thorpe to get stronger and be healthy and he'll get a shot in Spring training. That should be a wide open race for the starting pitching staff. Depending on any off season trades we're looking at possibly. Schultz, Sandlin , Smith, Thorpe, McDougal, Martin, Burke, Castillo or even Vasil and Taylor. Fedde could sign elsewhere but he may want to stay here where he's pitched best.

Hope it's nothing serious. Burke looked very good even after the long 6 run inning he gave up 1 unearned run because Colson called for a popup and flubbed it. The 2 9th inning runs given up by Richard's ( thanks @Buehrle>Wood ) were also unearned because of a Vargas error.

I get it and I bang my head against the wall at a ton of what Colson does. But I don’t get everyone complaining only about him instead of Mune or Braden or . . . others?

Burke's Law, he owns Cleveland this season. Colson looked like Inspector Gadget knocking balls down for outs, TP had the at bat for the season, and getting plunked in the head was even better. Great game, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

He looked really good for a couple of innings. Definitely did not look sharp in his last inning after he sat for 30 minutes.

He looked pretty good. Velo was back and pretty much filled up the zone. It's a tough team for him with so many lefties/switch hitters but he did pretty well. A few loud outs but he was pretty much in control.

Connor deserves to be somewhere as top announcer. It might be here.

There are a lot of people with questionable behavior around. That is not a particular trait of only the Sox organization .That is something that never changes. There are probably dozens of people in front offices, coaches and players with hostile attitudes towards women and mentally abusive to other because being the "BOSS" allows you to discipline and try to get better performance in many different ways. Very little of it is apparent enough to get someone fired. Shirley has probably acted that way his whole life and it's usually overlooked . I'm glad their Human Resources Dept. was able to take the problem seriously and move it up the chain of command where action could be taken. I could look at this website and recount plenty of sexual "jokes" about women in general. Boys will be boys stuff but being tolerant of it and watching it spread because it's ok when no when says anything about it is also wrong.
