  2. I hope you are right but I think that is wishful thinking. The American leauge is not a developemental league.
  3. Royals will be staying in Missouri, probably downtown KC. If Kansas is acting bossy, that will seal the deal for Missouri to keep 'em. The Chiefs got a sweetheart deal. Will Kansas offer the Royals a similar offer now that they've got the NFL?
  4. I feel this is a jinx but still I can’t get over how high strung I was through October that Caleb may still not be the guy or Ben may not work and it really felt like in that Eagles game I finally got to let go and watch football without the story lines of “is this the person that delivers me or should I keep one foot out ready to jump” and just got to enjoy watching bears football trying to win. To be sure, that was a lot of lovie era, just being annoyed we weren’t quite better but often just being in the moment. From Mitch thru Justin, it was extremely “can we believe yet”. Glad that’s over.
  5. A new Red Line stop at 15th and Clark was not part of the Fire stadium plan that was approved by the city.
  6. Yesterday
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised if you are right. Maybe they get a cheap starter and outfielder at the end of free agency. I think they are going to hold out for free agents that can’t get an offer and have to accept a pittance.
  8. because we spent the money on Murakami with a special extension from Jerry... this now means the RF is Kelenic. Clear as day. And Pereira. just little bits to round things out but we are now set
  9. I pray we don't have to suffer much Cannon this year. He had some moments but he has zero control and command most starts. Few guys throw more meatballs. Burke I agree stuff might play better out of pen but we need him to start as of now imo.
  10. Tampa Bay and Carolina playing in a Florida rainstorm
  11. I think Burke should move to the bullpen, but that’s just me. I think his stuff would play up. Cannon, he might not be a MLB caliber pitcher unfortunately.
  12. Great write up,,,thanks. Roderic Ramirez sounds very intriguing.
  13. I think if the sox signed this guy, it would show you what they think of the Martin, Burke, Cannon group.
  14. That low strikeout rate was scary, and the fact that it has declined over the years.
  15. I would have liked Murakami on a similar contract but I can see why he didn’t sign such a deal.
  16. He looked like a dubious #5. I thought he could get something like 1/3 as somebody's rotation depth.
  17. Not surprising at all. His profile didn't look all that great for success in the MLB.
  18. He also doesn't hit the ball particularly hard. It'll be interesting to see how his bat (and power) translates while also trying to play secondary positions. I originally was more on him than Mune, but I honestly think his career will end up being closer to Yoshida's.
  19. I think Okamoto will be a better hitter immediately but he's already 30 so his upside won't be that high. This might be the only real contract he gets in the Majors.
  20. I think that's what they're doing. If somebody comes banging on the door with a package, the Sox will listen.
  21. Great article, thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the read and am looking forward to following the development of these players. The new White Sox front office also has me very excited for the future of the organization. Sounds like they are finally getting competent.
  22. I thought it said Cubs at first. LOL I hope he does well.
  23. Curious to see how much money he got compared to Murakami.
